As I walk out the door of my Promontory home on a beautiful mountainside in Chilliwack BC, a fresh waft of mountainside air fills my body and makes me smile. I look at the hundreds of cars heading towards the freeway ready to start their commute and I wonder....How did this neighborhood, which not that long ago consisted of one new townhouse complex, horses on acreage, a few homes trails, berry picking, creeks and forest creatures become one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the fraser valley?
The sound of excavators has been replaced by schoolbusses, what once was a forest is now a well marked trail buzzing with jogging strollers and dogs on leash. I often say I would never have to leave the hill if they would just put a gas station up here. I love Chilliwack! I love the rivers, the lakes, the people, the small town feel, the schools and the opportunities that come with it all!
As a new entrepeneur I am blessed to live in such an amazing city and neighborhood. I would encourage those who haven't discovered all that I have here in Chilliwack, come visit. Meet the people, and the thriving businesses. Be a part of what is becoming for more than just me an amazing place to live!!
